		<description>Hello.  I suspect that the reason the iPhone doesn&#039;t have a maps API is due to licensing constraints.  Its not really in Google or Nokia&#039;s (who own most of the map data used by Google) interest to make the iPhone more appealing than it is already.  My company, CloudMade does have a maps API which can be used with the iPhone - http://cloudmade.com/products/mobile-tiles.  Check it out and please get in touch if you have any comments.</description>
